VELVET UNDERGROUND New York Rehearsal 1966 (2019 UK limited edition 16-track double vinyl LP - In early 1966, the band were in Warhol's Factory base rehearsing for their pending debut record, when Warhol somehow managed to persuade a local NYCradio station to broadcast live during these sessions. While few hearing this transmission at the time would understood what was happening, this recording is now a legendary piece of musical history that every fan of The Velvet Underground will want to hear. Available on vinyl for the first time, this recording provides a sense of how their seismic 1967 debut came to be. As an added bonus, it also includes three rare live tracks recorded at New York's Cinematheque earlier the same year. Both vinyl discs remain in near 'as new' condition within the gatefold picture sleeve)
