Tracklisting & More Information

This is the first export copy of The White album we have ever clapped eyes on in our thirty years trading Beatles records. We are proud to present you the first export pressing of this classic double LP.

Labels :-

This really is a holy grail piece for The Beatles completist & label collector. The Parlophone export label is printed without the 'Sold In UK' text & sports an iconic black & yellow Parlophone design instead of the far more common Apple sliced/non-sliced design. Decca contract pressings of this export version are also known to exist with a 'deep groove' label ridge but these too are near mythical. A very limited amount of copies were pressed & exported, in far smaller numbers than the Apple stock pressings. The labels bear the exclusive 'P-PCS' prefix in the catalogue number with “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” perimeter print & the matrix numbers are machine stamped, thus:

Side 1: YEX 709-1/ Side 2: YEX 710-1/ Side 3: YEX 711-1/ Side 4: YEX 712-1.

The LP sleeve & inserts are the same as the Apple release. The number on the front of the gatefold reads '0525287'.

Condition :

The all important labels appear Near Mint, the major selling point here. It is very difficult to detect any real play. Usually there are a fair amount of spindle marks around the centre hole for this album, as you'd expect with any Beatles record, but not here. The vinyl itself remains in Excellent condition with just some minor evidence of its age & one or two gentle plays.

The sleeve - which has the small 'stereo' text on the rear - remains incredibly bright, with little of the 'yellowing/discolouration' more commonly found. There is some light paper scuffing, minor ring wear & slight peel to the laminate on occasion found along the spine. There are no splits to the black inners & the photo inserts have no sign of having been displayed [the original paper cover is included]. There is some very minor foxing to the white backs of the lyric poster & picture inserts, all of which is of little consequence. The package grades Excellent.

All in all, this is a serious future investment piece. These export copies will only get harder to find over time & this astonishing collector's copy comes highly recommended at today's market price.
