THE NERVES The Nerves (Very rare 1st issue of this essential Californian Powerpop 1976 US wide centred 7" EP, picture sleeve with white rear panel and black text. Opening with the original version of 'Hanging On The Telephone' written by Jack Lee of The Nerves, two years before Lee received a call from Debbie Harryasking if she could cover the song with her group, Blondie [ironically, Lee was about to have his phone cut off, the original record was selling so badly!]. Also features the equally vital tracks, When You Find Out, Give Me Some Time & Working Too Hard. The delicate picture sleeve grades Excellent, just some minor ring wear and retains its original HMV price sticker [just £1.50!], the vinyl too grades Excellent with very few signs of play N4502)
