Here we have a classic piece of original Beatles memorabilia, manufactured in 1964 by the Selmer subsidiary Selcol in simply stunning condition.

One of seven models produced by Selcol, the 'New Sound' guitar is made from orange plastic with a white top and measures approximately 23" in length, with a full colour group sticker and facsimile autographs on the body. The 'New Sound' logo is picked out underneath the band name in orange at the base of the body. The plastic is bright and clean & is free from cracks and remarkably all four strings and the tuning pegs are still intact.

Being over fifty years old and originally intended as a children's plaything, it is indeed remarkable that this guitar survives at all - and in such glorious condition is a real bonus.
