Tracklisting & More Information

This was the one and only release by the British songbird, produced by Mark Plummer & Miki Dallon for the tiny Birth label imprint. Alongside Vertigo’s obscure Linda Hoyle LP, late period Transatlantic releases such as CMU’s Space Cabaret and Julie Covington’s early solo LP Beautiful Changes, it remains one of the most sought after English female folk rock records ever released.
This was the first release on Miki Dallon's short lived Birth label, which itself was a subsidiary of Young Blood & distributed through CBS.

This was no beginner's album though, for Christine had already established a name for herself with gigs at Rick Wakeman's rock pub 'Brewer's Droop' in London. To make the album, a noteworthy cast of quality musicians were assembled including original Yes guitarist Peter Banks, future Strawb Dave Lambert, Joe Cocker's Hammond Organist Tommy Eyre, Saxes by King Crimson's Ian McDonald, Drums by journalist Chris Welsh playing under the pseudonym J. Kay Boots, Roger Sutton from The Trinity and even the group Design providing backing vocals as 'The Designettes'.

The album was given almost no publicity and disappeared with little more than a whimper, much like some of its contemporaries, making it now the stuff of legend and greatly desired but seldom found.

Condition
The textured picture sleeve remains white with just a little evidence of handling at the edges & some light shelfwear providing an above average vintage look. The spine and all text remains easily readable.
The wonderful design Birth labels are clean and bright.

The vinyl itself is astonishing with just one light surface scuff visible on side one to show for its forty five years in the wild. This has absolutely no effect on play whatsover.
The vinyl shows little sign of play & remains near 'as new'.

An incredible copy of this extremely rare album !
