THE BEATLES The Essential Beatles (Rare 1972 New Zealand first issue 16-track stereo vinyl compilation LP featuring the first appearance of 'Penny Lane' anywhere in the world in true stereo, unique pinched spine picture sleeve variant with 'Music For Leisure' logo on the reverse. This is actually a contract pressing by Phonogram in Wellington to help satisfy the demand and can be identified by a noticeable raised edge to the labels that isn't present on an HMV or later EMI pressing.The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear and the vinyl remains excellent with little sign of play. A nice copy of this very hard to find pressing TVSS8)
