Hey Jude - 1st - Pye - Solid

THE BEATLES Hey Jude (Rare 1968 UK solid centre 7" single, also featuring the electric version of Revolution, with 'Sold In The UK' label text, Apple company die-cut paper sleeve. During the peak of Beatlemania, EMI were forced to outsource pressing of some singles just to meet demand. These were mainly to Oriole, CBS, Decca & Pye, sometimes Philips. This is a Pye sub-contracted press with rounded edge and without stamper letters at three o'clock in the run out. There are a numberof hairlines & surface marks visible on the disc, so the vinyl would be graded G+/VG-, however Pye issues remain elusive, so this remains an acceptable collection filler at an advantageous price R5722)
