KEVIN AYERS & THE WHOLE WORLD Shooting At The Moon (1970 UK first issue 10-track stereo LP with no EMI logo on the label, Ayers's second post-Soft Machine album with David Bedford, avant-gardist Lol Coxhill, Mick Fincher and a teenage Mike Oldfield on bass & guitar. The results reveal the true eccentric genius at the heart of Ayers' madcap Canterbury sound and is now regarded as a masterpiece of British psychedelia, listed in The Wire's inspiring '100 Records That Set The World On Fire[When No One Was Listening]' [issue 175, September 1998]. The front laminated flipback picture sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear with a small sticker tear on the front & the vinyl remains in nice EX-/EX condition with just a couple of minor surface scuffs to show for its forty years - A gem SHSP4005)
