THE BEATLES The Beatles (Super rare original 1968 UK 30-track MONO double vinyl LP on the dark green Apple label with 'Sold In UK...' text. This is the very first pressing indicated by the '-1' suffix on the matrix number on all four sides. Housed in the fully laminated, embossed top-opening Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold picture sleeve with internal flipbacks, numbered below 10,000 [6294 in fact], complete with black die-cut inners, the four colour prints and fold-out photo collage/lyric poster. From the vast personal archive of a former music reviewer and journalist, this copy has 'Factory Sample Not For Sale' stickers on the Side One and Three labels and has been carefully stored away for more than 30 years. The sleeve remains in superb condition with bright, clean laminate, secure flipbacks, perfect spine and no discolouration. The vinyl looks barely played retaining an incredible 'just pressed' lustre with labels free from spindle marks. A jaw-dropping copy of this sought after pressing with no need to upgrade! PMC7067-8)
