Tracklisting & More Information

The photographer, Michael Ward, is an award-winning photo-journalist with an over thirty year career with both The London Evening Standard and The Sunday Times.

With only a small number of 750 copies manufactured of this amazing portfolio, it is already virtually impossible to find copies, with most having disappeared quickly into private collections.

The prints themselves each measure 430mm x 320mm & finely printed using four-colour FM screening on to heavyweight (300gsm) archival paper. Each print is fully acrylic varnished and certified with an embossed Michael Ward signature.

The accompanying book is hand-bound in midnight-blue Indian silk with intricate gold and copper blocking and copper page edging. Printed on to heavyweight uncoated cream paper in three special inks. Each book is individually numbered and hand-signed by the photographer. It carries an essay featuring Michael Ward's recollections of that extraordinary February 19th in 1963, with illustrative plates and informative captioning details throughout. In just 24 hours, Ward had amassed an incredible collection of photographs of four young men whose lives were about to change and whose faces were about to become some of the most recognisable on earth - a band on the cusp of their first UK chart success, unaware of the unprecedented stardom about to befall them.

The outer hand-crafted Solander box is 450mm x 340mm x 40mm, bound in midnight-blue Indian silk and blocked in gold and copper.
Inside, a cloth lining affords your prints and numbered book exquisite protection. It opens out flat to provide the perfect platform to view and enjoy your prints.

Yet another superb quality collectors piece made to the high standards for which Genesis are renowned !
