THE BEATLES Hey Jude (1968 Japanese first issue wide centre 7" single pressed on 'Everclean' Wine Red Vinyl, on the black & silver Odeon label with 'MFD. UNDER LICENCE BY TOSHIBA MUSICAL INDUSTRIES LTD. INJAPAN perimeter text, also includes Revolution; unique wrap-around picture insert with the '¥400' price point on the front, and printed with lyrics in the inside. The insert displays some general wear with some light creases from handling, whilst the vinyl is VG+/EX- with just a few light cosmetic surface marks OR-2121)

Most copies found for this release were pressed on black vinyl, however during the mid 1960's Toshiba in Japan were experimenting with 100% virgin red vinyl, which had an added chemical called Everclean, and was used on most EMI releated LP's & 7" at the time. This was supposed to helped reduce static build-up, but was discontinued due to the production costs, so these pressings became very limited.
