Condition :-

Let us start by saying, this is far from a mint copy. If you want one like that [& who doesn't?] you will need a tardis! What we do have to offer is a very acceptable example of a first mono issue of this British psych masterpiece.

Sleeve :-

The sleeve shows the usual ravishings of time but there is really nothing too bad. The creasings in the laminate around the edges are not excessive, the flipbacks remain secure, & despite some light discolouring on the back, all text remains clearly legible. Edge scuffing is kept to a minimum & there is just a tiny thumbnail tear at the opening on the back. Certainly a respectable condition example, & what a cover design it is!

Vinyl :-

The jury is out as to what sounds better, mono or the stereo, but the mono sure does pack a punch [the Strawberry Fields Forever cover is amazing!]. Obviously we have play tested this sixties classic, & despite the way it looks condition wise, we are amazed how great it sounds. There are numerous paper scuffs, hairlines, wear to the grooves & the odd light scratch, but any background surface noise is pushed way back into the stratosphere once the band kick in to the fore. Every track is a belter! We were expecting a little distortion, but there really isn't any. Thanks to the quality of Parlophone's loud & proud, sixties mono pressings, we are pleased to offer this serviceable copy at a fair price.
