This copy is housed in the original textured card picture sleeve printed by the E.J. Day Group with an 'i' logo and Basing Street address printed by the bottom edge on the reverse. The sleeve shows just a small amount of edgewear, a couple negligible scuffs from storage here and there as to be expected from the nature of the design, although this is fairly minimal. The text on the spine is legible and all edges are free from splits.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition, fast approaching Near Mint with the only ultra-fine cosmetic hairlines to be seen remain in the dead wax area only.
The matrix numbers are machine stamped into the 'dead wax' areas:
ILPS 9134 A-1U
ILPS 9134 B-1U
Both labels are beautifully clean with minimal spindle wear indicating very little play. The design of the labels on this 1972 issue are slightly different from the original in that the timings of the songs are bracketed and the publishing date is now followed by 'Island Records Ltd' text.
A stunning copy of this highly sought after pressing. Would make a great investment or addition to any serious collection! |
