 | ROD STEWART Sailing (Rare 1978 UK limited edition 2-track 7" single
pressed on Blue Vinyl
- This pressing was issued exclusively to the crew of the HMS Ark
Royal to commemorate Rod's visit to the ship. The vinyl itself appears
near as new and while the fragile paper picture sleeve does show
some signs of age, there is only one split. This is extremely hard to
find in any condition! See 'More Info' for extra notes regarding the
condition of this item RIVA9)
Tracklisting: 1. Sailing
2. Stone Cold Sober
FURTHER NOTES ON CONDITION
Whilst not in Mint condition, this supremely rare record would still make an attractive addition to your Rod Stewart collection.
The all-important BLUE vinyl is still a glorious rich, dark colour and appears barely played.
The Riva labels are in immaculate condition on both sides with the following wording on the 'A' side - "A special edition limited to 3,000 copies, presented to the crew of H.M.S. Ark Royal to commemorate the visit of Rod Stewart. October 1978".
The picture sleeve, showing the Ark Royal at sea, does have some wear on the opening edge, a crease on one bottom corner and minor ringwear, there is one slight rip to the right side of the sleeve and overall is in a more than respectable condition.
However, this record very rarely appears for sale at all, and when it does it doesn't often come any better than this. |
