BOB DYLAN The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (Rare 1964 UK 13-track stereo LP with the earliest 'rough' textured plain orange label design & earliest 'SBPG-62193-1A-1'/'SBPG-62193-2B-1' stamped matrices in the run-outs, housed in the first CBS pressedfront laminated non-flipback picture sleeve [Philips pressed the earliest version of the cover in '63 with flipbacks] printed by Ernest J. Day & Co with 'STEREO' print with red arrows on the back. The sleeve is Excellent with a little minor s
#Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Timehelfwear & the odd faint crease in the laminate. The vinyl is strictly graded as Good - with obvious scuffing/hairlines throughout SBPG62193)

Tracklisting: 1. Blowin' In The Wind 2. Girl From The North Country 3. Masters Of War 4. Down The Highway 5. Bob Dylan's Blues 6. Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall 7. Don't Think Twice It's Alright 8. Bob Dylan's Dream 9. Oxford Town 10. Talking World War III Blues 11. Corrina Corrina 12. Honey Just Allow Me One More Chance 13. I Shall Be Free This is the original issue from November 1963. The label is of the 'rough' CBS variety, with centre boxed logo, '33' instead of '33 1/3' near the bottom left corner of the logo & P1963 date. The stamped Matrices in the run off are 62193 1A-1 & 2B-1. Condition :- The sleeve is in beautiful condition with no smoke yellowing on the non-laminated back, just some almost imperceptable discolouration at the edges as a result of handling over time. The sleeve is front laminated with round ended flipbacks & is folded over at the spine, confirming a first issue. There were two different sleeves - one is a purpose stereo sleeve with printed '<-- STEREO -->' flashes front and back, like this one, the other has a front & back identical to the mono release, with a red stamped stereo indication on the back. Both of these records have the same matrix numbers. The mono sleeve was used for initial sales, the stereo sleeve was then introduced, but was discontinued quite quickly for economy reasons, making the printed '<-- STEREO -->' sleeve far rarer than the overstamped Mono. The spine is still clearly readable & the front also shows no evidence of fading or age yellowing. There is minimal evidence of general shelfwear & no edge scuffing at all to speak of apart from the lightest of corner scuffing. This copy has obviously been stored very well indeed. The vinyl itself matches the sleeve. It is beautiful with just almost no spindle marks around the label centre to indicate play. Upon close inspection, there are no obvious marks at all. To all intents & purposes, the vinyl is Mint. A wonderful copy of this nearly fifty year old album, with no need to ever upgrade.
