A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...
 | THE ZOMBIES Odessey And Oracle (Incredibly rare original
1968 UK 12-track mono vinyl LP, housed in a front laminated
non-flipback picture sleeve. Overlooked on its original
release but now regarded as one of the finest English
pop/psych albumsof the era, this is the almost impossible to
find MONO pressing. Please see 'Additional Info' for further
details) #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time
Tracklisting: More Information
Recorded at Abbey Road and Olympic Studios between June and November 1967, by the time of the April '68 release of 'Odessey And Oracle', the Zombies had effectively split-up. This obviously hampered the album's commercial breakthrough and sales were low as a result. Although the STEREO edition of the album was subsequently re-pressed by CBS in the wake of the US success of the 'Time Of The Season' single, there was only one initial pressing of the MONO version - which we present here.
Condition
The picture sleeve is graded Very Good with a few light creases in laminate on the front, with merely a glimpse of ringwear and minimal wear to the edges & the text on the spine is clear. There is a handwritten price (?) of 37/6 written neatly at the top rear.
This has A1/B1 matrices.
The labels have some spindle marks to show that this has been played and enjoyed many times.
The vinyl is strictly graded as Good. There are some noticeable surface marks and some mild scratches to both sides. We have professionally cleaned and play tested both sides, and can confirm it plays through very well on our turntable without skipping, but during playback you may hear light background noise during the quieter passages.
Although far from mint, finding an original mono copies are becoming Increasingly hard to find, offered here at an advantageous price.
