 | ROLLING STONES Sticky Fingers (Rare 1971 first UK issue
10-track LP, with 'Rolling Stones Records' etched into the
run-out, housed in the original top-opening & fully working
bronze finish 'zipper' sleeve designed by Andy Warhol,
complete withillustrated/tongue logo insert. This copy has the
withdrawn large front zipper, engraved with the
elusive 'PAN', swiftly replaced with smaller zips for all
subsequent pressings. Not many of these large zipper covers
are ever identified, #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Timeif & when they ever do reach the market.
The vinyl grades VG with a couple of faint scuff marks not
affecting play. The cover grades Very Good with a few of the
usual indentations on the back due to the design with a tiny
patch of tape repair to top. There is obvious scuffing around
the zipper. Mint first pressings are known to hit as high as
£500 so this one is priced fairly. Definitely one for the
completist! COC59100)
Tracklisting: Condition
The sleeve displays some general wear with a small indentation on the back, this is where it was obviously stored with other copies and the zip has left a mark.
The usual issue on this design of sleeve if the top open edge, this is normally creased of badly damages, however this example has just one small crease next to the zip, no rips or tears, all very nice.
The insert remains in a really nice condition with light signs of age, whilst the vinyl remains excellent with only a couple of light cosmetic marks and just light signs of play.
The best example we have seen!
