| GEORGES BIZET L'Arlesienne Suites 1 & 2 / Carmen Suite
(Very Rare 1965 UK red semi-circle label 12-track vinyl LP,
with André Cluytens conducting the Paris Conservatoire
Orchestra, with guest soloists Michel Debost (flute), Michel
Nouaux (altosaxophone) and Bernard Gallais (harp); front
laminated picture sleeve with curved flipbacks. Please see
below for more information about this stunning rarity
SAX2566)
Tracklisting: One of the best and rarest from the Columbia SAX series - this is the first copy we've ever seen.
The sleeve shows a handwritten date (March 1982) carefully written to the back, with a few small patches of discolouration to the unlaminated back. Flipbacks are mostly free of shelfwear, the front is clean with light wear/creasing to the laminate. All colours still vibrant and all text is clearly visible. Overall graded EX.
The vinyl shows very few signs of play, with minimal spindle wear, the KT tax code is visible to Side 1 - clearly only played a handful of times. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned and playtested. On closer inspection there is a tiny hairline to Side 1 - which has no affect on play. Graded NM-.
