#Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time

Tracklisting: The sleeve shows just a little general signs of age. The poster has just a mild creasing/signs of storage, the phot portraits look unused. The Apple labels have 'Sold in the UK subject to' text, Record 1 has 'An EMI Recording' on both labels, whilst Record 2 doesn't. These were issued simultaneously and sometimes you will see a mixture of different label designs of one disc. The matrix numbers are as follows indicating that this copy was among the first pressed - Side 1: XEX 709-1 Side 2: XEX 710-2 Side 3: XEX 711-1 Side 4: XEX 712-1 Both labels are clean with just a couple of light spindle marks, and the vinyl has just a few very light cosmetic surface scuffs/hairlines visible upon close inspection. As a classic sixties heavyweight vinyl pressing, their effect on play is minimal. Tracklisting: 01. Back In The U.S.S.R. 02. Dear Prudence 03. Glass Onion 04. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da 05. DAVID BOWIE David Bowie (Rare 1969 UK Philips black & silver 9-track stereo LP, generally regarded as the first Bowie album proper, featuring Space Oddity and the early masterpiece Cygnet Committee, gatefold picture sleeve SBL7912)
See 'Additional Info' for further details on this legendary collectable Bowie record!

Tracklisting: More Details What we have here is one of the most sought after worldwide David Bowie collectables - the original pressing of what is generally regarded as the first Bowie album proper, performed by Bowie and a cast of uncredited 'Friends' including Herbie Flowers, Rick Wakeman, Moody Blues bassist John Lodge and [on 'Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud'] Mick Ronson. Despite this stellar line-up and the success of the 'Space Oddity' single, the album was a commercial failure, hence it's scarcity today - it would be reissued in 1972 by RCA, but with a new title and a totally different sleeve The colour gatefold sleeve on this issue is literally a work of art in itself. It features an image of Bowie on the front based on Hungarian-born artist Victor Vasarely's piece 'CTA 25 Neg', with George Underwood's drawing 'The Depth Of The Circle' on the reverse illustrating aspects of the album's lyrics. The lyrics themselves are printed across the centre of the gatefold. Condition The sleeve shows light print wear around the edges, although nothing which distracts from the superb artwork; there is a little edge scuffing, light front cover wear and some light colour removal from the spine. Despite this, the interior remains excellent with all of its text legible and in all, the sleeve is free from splits and tears. The label shows minimal spindle marks on otherwise clean labels, the vinyl retains a deep sheen with minimal signs of play - a strong Excellent. This is an item that defines 'rare'. They just don't come along very often - this is only the sixth Excellent copy we've ever had! Tracklisting 1. Space Oddity 2. Unwashed And Somewhat Slightly Dazed 3. Letter To Hermione 4. Cygnet Committee 5. Janine 6. An Occasional Dream 7. The Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud 8. God Knows I'm Good 9. Memory Of A Free Festival
