A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...
 | ROLLING STONES The Rolling Stones No. 2 (Rare 1965 UK
second press 12-track deep groove mono vinyl LP on the
unboxed Decca logo 'ffrr' label, front laminated flipback
picture sleeve with 'blind man' text on the back. See 'more
info' for further details... LK4661)
Tracklisting: The group's second British album actually appeared after their second U.S. LP, mostly owing to the fact that the British rock & roll audience wasn't focused on the long-player as a medium (singles and EPs were the driving force of the business in England then).
It uses the same David Bailey cover shot that had graced the U.S issued '12 X 5' album two months earlier, but only four songs (Under The Boardwalk, Suzie Q, Grown Up Wrong and Time Is On My Side) overlap on the two albums.
Rather, Rolling Stones No. 2 offered seven songs that weren't to make it out in America until four months later on 'The Rolling Stones Now!' It also includes one of the group's best blues covers, their version of Muddy Waters' I Can't Be Satisfied, which wasn't released in America until 1973 and features some killer slide playing by Brian Jones. The U.K. LP was originally released in mono only.
Condition :-
The sleeve grades Excellent with just some slight age wear and a very clean non-laminated back. All text remains clearly legible including along the spine.
The labels are red with unboxed or open Decca logo and ffrr 'ear' logo, with the deep groove that was omitted from later pressings. The labels reveal some spindle wear. The vinyl itself is an Excellent grade with some light paper scuffs not affecting play.
The matrix numbers are machine stamped into the 'dead wax' areas. They are as follows:
Side One XARL-6619-2A
Side Two XARL-6620-1A
01. Everybody Needs Somebody To Love
02. Down Home Girl
03. You Can't Catch Me
04. Time Is On My Side
05. What A Shame
06. Grown Up Wrong
07. Down The Road Apiece
08. Under The Boardwalk
09. I Can't Be Satisfied
10. Pain In My Heart
11. Off The Hook
12. Suzie-Q |

Condition :-
The sleeve is front laminated with '6902' dated flipbacks. The cover grades Very Good with some minor ring wear. The flipbacks are secure & there is no writing. The bottom edge reveals a couple of paper blemishes with the odd tiny fracture. A VG example.
Labels & Vinyl :-
The labels are the original black, white & silver Columbia design with one box EMI logo. The matrices in the run-outs end '1U/1U'. The vinyl is clean & in Excellent condition with few signs of play.
Another corker from Britain's greatest Quintet! |
 | THE BEATLES Let It Be (Early 70s UK second issue of the 1970
12-track stereo vinyl LP, fully laminated picture sleeve with green
Apple logo on the back. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear
with just some laminate lift where the edgecreases are evident
however, the vinyl d shows just a small amount of inaudible cosmetic
wear on the vinyl. A great play copy!) #Top 500 Greatest
