A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

ASSAGAI Assagai (Original 1971 UK 8-track LP on the large Vertigo 'swirl' label, a fantastic copy of the South African band's debut album, matt gatefold picture sleeve with swirl inner. The sleeve displays a large '50p' annotation to the reverse of the gatefold and a small surface scuff next to it removing some of the colour but with nothing to interfere with the text. The labels are clean and reveal just a littlefaint spindle wear when held to the light. The vinyl has light surface scuffs and hairlines and is graded as EX-/VG+; after professional cleaning, playtesting revealed just a little light crackle in places, but nothing excessive, allowing the warm, deep beats to really shine through & shake the office! A highly recommended Vertigo stunner)

Tracklisting: 1. Telephone Girl 2. Akasa 3. Hey Jude 4. Cocao 5. Irin Ajolawa 6. Ayieo 7. Beka 8. I'll Wait For You
LEE DORSEY Yes We Can (Mid 70s UK issue of the 1970 12-track LP, quite possibly the pinnacle of album-length New Orleans funky soul, written & arranged by Allen Toussaint with backing by The Meters. Includes the title track two-parter, later brought to the charts by the Pointer Sisters, Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley, subsequently covered by Robert Palmer, plus Occapella [which even Ringo Starr felt compelled to cover!]. Housed in a picture sleeve. The sleeve shows some light edgewear and general scuff marks, whilst the vinyl appears barely played)

Tracklisting: 1. Yes We Can - Part 1 2. Riverboat 3. Tears Tears And More Tears 4. O Me-O, My-O 5. Sneakin' Sally Thru The Alley 6. Yes We Can - Part 2 7. Who's Gonna Help Brother Get Further 8. Games People Play 9. When The Bill's Paid 10. Occapella 11. Gator Tail 12. Would You?
