THE BEATLES Jolly What! The Beatles & Frank Ifield On Stage (Rare genuine original 1964 US STEREO Vee-Jay LP, with the deep groove colourband/rainbow rim label design with the Vee Jay Records logo in sqaure brackets, printed by Monarch Records inLos Angeles, California, within a back pasted picture sleeve featuring a purple background with an image of a British statesman in a Beatles wig, and printed with text on the spine verifying it as an authentic sleeve. See 'more info' for further detailson this stunning rarity...)

Tracklisting: More Details Released around the same time as Version Two of Introducing The Beatles in February 1964, The Beatles & Frank Ifield On Stage contained four songs by the Beatles and eight songs by Frank Ifield. The album’s front cover features a drawing of a mustached English statesman holding a pair of spectacles. A Beatles wig has been placed on his head. The top of the cover has the phrase "Jolly What!" in an attempt to give the album the proper British atmosphere. The back cover to The Beatles & Frank Ifield On Stage reveals that only four Beatles songs are included on the album. The text on the album’s back cover was written by Muriel Gaynor, a Vee-Jay employee who handled production matters and assisted Jay Lasker. The liner notes were sent by telegram to George S. Whiteman Graphic Design on January 10, 1964, for preparation of the back cover slicks. Since all 12 songs on the album are studio recordings, the only possible justification for this album's title is that the Beatles and crooner Frank Ifield had appeared "On Stage" on the same concert bill in England on December 2, 1962 VeeJay Stereo pressings are much rarer than the Mono. The deep groove label design features the colourband/rainbow rim label design with the Vee Jay Records logo in sqaure brackets, printed by Monarch Records in Los Angeles, California. With 'Stereo' on the right side at 3 o'clock, with left justified artist-only credits. Also has the catalogue number printed as 'VJLPS 1085' The matrix information is hand scratched on each side and is follows Side One 64-3852-S (triangle)6298 Side Two 64-3853-S (triangle)6298x And has MR machine stamped on both sides. The back pasted picture sleeve has a purple spine and printed with the catalogue number 'VJS 1085' and the title 'Jolly What! - The Beatles & Frank Ifield' all in white. The back has the word compilation mispelt as 'copulation', but this actually wasn't an error!! Condition The sleeve is in remarkable condition considering it's 50 year history and shows just a little minor to the edges and corners, with a light crease mark to the bottom left corner. The back slick displays minimal discolouration, with vert small section in the top left corner missing. The spine has some scuffing at the top & both, but the print is still present. This copy also includes the original advertising paper inner, which has a couple of splits and signs of age. The vinyl exhibits on a handful of light surface marks and plays superbly with unsurpassed stereo sound, only the occasional light crackle is evident, most of the album plays with superb clarity, the pauses between tracks remain near silent! A guaranteed genuine stereo rarity in a really nice & respectable condition! Tracklisting Side One 1. The Beatles - Please Please Me 2. Frank Ifield - Anytime 3. Frank Ifield - Lovesick Blues 4. Frank Ifield - I'm Smiling Now 5. Frank Ifield - Nobody's Darling 6. The Beatles - From Me To You Side Two 1. Frank Ifield - I Remember You 2. The Beatles - Ask Me Why 3. The Beatles - Thank You Girl 4. Frank Ifield - The Wayward Wind 5. Frank Ifield - Unchained Melody 6. Frank Ifield - I Listen To My Heart
CAT STEVENS Tea For The Tillerman (Rare 1970 South African 11-track vinyl LP on textures white 'i' pink Island label design, front laminated picture sleeve with the 'Interpak' logo on the reverse along with a music store sticker from Cape Town. The sleeve has some minor wear with some lifting to the shrink along the spine which has caused the sleeve to crease due to the tightness, whilst the vinyl remains very good with some surface scuffs. Although not mint this is still a respectable example and the first we have seen ILPS9135)

Tracklisting: 1. Where Do The Children Play? 2. Hard-Headed Woman 3. Wild World 4. Sad Lisa 5. Miles From Nowhere 6. But I Might Die Tonight 7. Longer Boats 8. Into White 9. On the Road To Findout 10. Father & Son 11. Tea For The Tillerman
