A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...
 | JOHN LEE HOOKER The Blues (1963 US 12-track vinyl LP on the
'grey' Crown label, pasted picture sleeve with 'full color high
fidelity' text. Seminal blues recordings originally released as '78s
on Modern Records between 1948 and 1952, includes hisdebut
recording 'Boogie Chillen', a solo performance featuring, what
would become, Hooker trademarks; a part spoken part sung
vocal, electric guitar, and those all important rhythmic foot
stomps. The sleeve on this copy has a split to the spine but
otherwise shows relatively little where, the vinyl is graded EX
with just a few light scuffs/hairlines visible - however, these
recordings are from the original '78s so there are some
'pops/background noise' audible CLP5157 |

LP, including fifty-six tracks recorded between 1963 & 1965
for BBC radio, digitally remastered & compiled by George
