ROLLING STONES The Rolling Stones No. 2 (Late 1960s UK issue of the 1965 12-track mono vinyl LP on the unboxed Decca logo label WITHOUT the deep groove, housed in a front laminated flipback picture sleeve with 'blind man' text on the back LK4661)
See 'More Info' for details on condition ...

Tracklisting: The group's second British album actually appeared after their second US LP, mostly owing to the fact that the British rock & roll audience wasn't focused on the long-player as a medium (Singles and EPs were the driving force of the business in England then). It uses the same David Bailey cover shot that had graced the US issued '12 X 5' album two months earlier, but only four songs (Under The Boardwalk, Suzie Q, Grown Up Wrong and Time Is On My Side) overlap on the two albums. Rather, Rolling Stones No. 2 offered seven songs that weren't to make it out in America until four months later on 'The Rolling Stones Now!' It also includes one of the group's best blues covers, their version of Muddy Waters' I Can't Be Satisfied, which wasn't released in America until 1973 and features some killer slide playing by Brian Jones. The U.K. LP was originally released in mono only & took forever to come out on CD in this form. The original cover design found here carries sleeve notes that include the text: "If you don't have bread, see that blind man, knock him on the head, steal his wallet and low and behold you have the loot, if you put in the boot, good, another one sold!" Not one of Mr Loog Oldham's wisest lyrical outpourings and they naturally caused uproar in January 1965, even to the extent of being debated in the UK Parliament. This was a bit too much for Decca and an alternate version of the back artwork was hastily prepared & the few they had left in the factories were overpasted with the new artwork. Most first issue sleeves continued to carry the text as they were already in the shops. The labels are red with unboxed, open Decca logo and ffrr 'ear', WITHOUT the deep grooves that were present on earlier pressings. This label varient has 'Made In England The Decca Record Co Ltd' print along the top. The composer label credit is in itallics & no recording details & no production credits are below the group name at the bottom. The 'BIEM/NCB' logo is to the right of the spindle hole. The matrix numbers are machine stamped into the 'dead wax' areas. They are as follows: Side One XARL-6619-2A Side Two XARL-6620-1A The cover (VG+) has light creasing to the laminate and shows yellowing and a few spots of discolouration to the reverse, however nothing to severe & the text is all legible. There is also a wonderful vintage shop sticker still adhering to the bottom. The heavyweight vinyl has been professionally cleaned and shows just a few light scuffs & the odd hairline leaving it EX/EX-; the resilience of Sixties vinyl is legendary and it takes a lot to put a dent into its sonic reproduction. 01. Everybody Needs Somebody To Love 02. Down Home Girl 03. You Can't Catch Me 04. Time Is On My Side 05. What A Shame 06. Grown Up Wrong 07. Down The Road Apiece 08. Under The Boardwalk 09. I Can't Be Satisfied 10. Pain In My Heart 11. Off The Hook 12. Suzie-Q
CREAM Disraeli Gears (Rare 1967 UK second pressing 11-track MONO LP, fully laminated picture sleeve with 'Ernest J. Day & Co Ltd' and 'Patents Pending' lettering on reverse, with A1/B1 matrices & 'M33' logo credit for playback in mono. The sleeve shows only a little faint wear. We have conservatively graded this copy VG due to a fair amount of spindle marks on the labels & light surface marks on the vinyl, however we can confirmplayback quality is still fantastic, with just a little background noise - priced fairly)

Tracklisting: 1. Strange Brew 2. Sunshine Of Your Love 3. World Of Pain 4. Dance The Night Away 5. Blue Condition 6. Tales Of Brave Ulysses 7. Swlabr 8. We're Going Wrong 9. Outside Woman Blues 10. Take It Back 11. Mother's Lament
HORACE ANDY Get Wise (Numbered limited edition 2014 UK 14-track compilation vinyl LP, presented in a picture sleeve but also including a hand printed silk screen version of the sleeve, which is numbered 83 of just 102 copies! originally only released in Jamaica, this collection draws together classic early cuts recorded with production legend Phil Pratt. The sleeve(s) and vinyl are both in 'as new' condition PSLP83)
