album, originally released by Elektra Records in April 1988,
has long been unavailable on vinyl. This anniversary reissue
has been prepared for release by Chapman and the album's
original producer, David Kershenbaum, pressed on 180-gram
vinyl and sourced from an analogue maste
#Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Timer. The album
package includea an insert of translatedlyrics, which
accompanied the original international release. Featuring the
classic singles 'Fast Car', 'Talkin' Bout A Revolution', and
'Baby Can I Hold You', the album earned three Grammy
Awards and went on to become one of the most successful
debuts of all time, peaking at #1 in multiple countries and
selling more than 20 million copies worldwide. To this day, it
still makes regular appearances on charts around the world,
and is one of the most successful albums by a female artist in

York 23' address on the back & the original catalogue inner.

This was pressed after “Blue Note Records” became an incorporated company & a registered trademark, so the 'INC' & 'R' on the labels is present [unlike earlier albums on the label] and the 'ear' mark visible in the run out grooves. Historically, it is the very first pressing from 1962. A combination of Van Gelder's sound engineering & Plastylite pressing was the 'golden age' of highest quality, Blue Note pressings.
Condition :-
The sleeve has survived in Very Good condition. There is a 1" split in the bottom right corner & a small paper split in the bottom left corner. The front panel is clean with a little foxing on the rear & the original '32/-' price annotation & tax import sticker is present. All print is legible including the spine.
The heavyweight vinyl is clean & grades Very Good. There are a few spindle marks & paper hairlines to show play. On its intended mono playback setting, the visual grade is rendered purely cosmetic & the sound quality remains superb.
