THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE Axis: Bold As Love (Rare 1967 UK first issue 13-track MONO vinyl LP, front laminated internal flipback gatefold picture sleeve)
See 'More Info' for further details and condition on this superb rarity...

Tracklisting: Information Both mono and stereo mixes of Jimi's first two albums were made by Jimi, Chas Chandler, and Eddie Kramer at Olympic Studios in 1967. Final stereo mixing for the album was done on October 31st and November 1st, 1967. Chandler and Kramer completed a mono mix of the album on November 2nd, 1967. There are noticeable differences between the two mixes that make this MONO version extremely special to collectors: EXP is shorter without the extended feedback at the end and the vocals are louder. Castles Made Of Sand features a different vocal performance. One Rainy Wish has a slightly different ending. There are other subtle differences too across the entire album as a result of the separate mixing to mono as opposed to merely combining the stereo tracks. Condition The Ernest J. Day sleeve has secure internal flipbacks and tight laminate. The colours remain rich, bright & vivid. There is some wear to the edges an corners and a little edge scuffing with no writing or tears. There is also some discolouring to the inner spread. The labels are the rough finish variety with silver print & lettering. There are no writing or tears to the print, with just spindle marks around the centre hole to indicate some past action [who DIDN'T play this Hendrix classic way back when?]. The vinyl shows several light scuffs & hairlines, but thanks to the quality sixties press, these are mostly cosmetic although some background noise may be heard between tracks and in quiet passages. While far from mint, this example has a G grade overall & is now becoming more and more difficult to track down. A very acceptable example at an advantageous price. Tracklisting 01. EXP 02. Up From The Skies 03. Spanish Castle Magic 04. Wait Until Tomorrow 05. Ain't No Telling 06. Little Wing 07. If Six Was Nine 08. You've Got Me Floating 09. Castles Made Of Sand 10. She's So Fine 11. One Rainy Wish 12. Little Miss Lover 13. Bold As Love
