BERT JANSCH Bert Jansch (Rare 1966 UK second issue of the 15-track vinyl LP on the white/purple label with 't' globe logo, front laminated picture sleeve. Originally recorded by Bill Leader on a reel to reel in Jansh's kitchen & sold to the Transatlantic label for the princely sum of £100. Transatlantic pressed the album directly from that reel to reel & it went on to sell 150,000 copies - Not bad for a 'Folkie'! With such gems as 'Do You Hear Me Now?' [later a hit for Donovan], the chilling 'Needle Of Death' & the omnipresent cover of Davey Graham's 'Angie', which was seen as pretty much a rite of passage for people entering the London sixties Folk scene. The front laminated picture sleeve shows very little shelfwear [although there is some minor laminate rippling] and remains fully intact with no unsightly rips/tears etc and with a clearly legible spine. The vinyl is superb with just a couple of light blemishes that do not affect play - overall a great copy of this groundbreaking album TRA125)

Tracklisting: Strolling Down The Highway Smokey River Oh How Your Love Is Strong I Have No Time Finches Rambling's Gonna Be The Death Of Me Veronica Needle Of Death Do You Hear Me Know ? Alice's Wonderland Running From Home Courting Blues Casbah Dreams Of Love Angie
