WORLD OF TWIST Quality Street (1991 UK 10-track LP, housed in a gatefold picture sleeve. Superb [and only] album from the Manchester based band that were criminally overlooked at the time, praise from Noel Gallagher and others [Beady Eye covered Sons Of The Stage] has seen the records profile raised in recent years and rightfully so as it manages to reference Joe Meek, Hawkwind and Northern Soul with something distinctly their own. The sleeve shows minimal wear and the vinyl looksbarely played CIRCA17)

JOY DIVISION Licht Und Blindheit (Super rare 1980 original issue French-only 7-inch single featuring Atmosphere and Dead Souls, the now legendary release housed inside a 12" x 8" individually numbered 3-panel textured folder, complete with English translation booklet, 'Avertissement' insert and Sordide Sentimental logo original polythene bag. This near mint condition example is numbered 001306 of 1578 copies and comes from the impressive archive collection of a retired French music-in

See 'More info' for full details...dustry exec. One of the very best examples you are ever likely to see!)

Tracklisting: Released in March 1980 on the tiny French imprint Sordide Sentimental run by Jean-Pierre Turmel and Yves von Bonteean, this is an absolute classic single and the first release of Atmosphere on seven inch single. Limited to just 1578 copies, each one of the lavish packages was individually numbered. This example is numbered No. 001306 and, until now, was in the possession of a retired French music industry label exec. Following the death of Ian Curtis two months later, this was released in the UK but with an alternate version of She's Lost control as the B Side. The jury is still out on whether this should or should not have a poly bag and whether it should or should not have the label logo printed on it, but having had a test pressing [#0000] of this directly from one of the the label founders which DID have a poly bag with logo, it seems fair to assume that some did and some didn't. This one has the Poly Bag with logo. Condition: The picture folder shows just minor edge scuffing with no folds or creases except for a tiny amount at the corners. The internal gatefold contains a narrative in French by Jean-Pierre Turmel and a picture of the band by Anton Corbijn. The centre has a tracing paper pocket which housed the 7-inch itself, a fold-out English translation of the narrative by Paul Buck and a smaller blue insert with just 'AVERTISSEMENT' and 'GESAMTKUNSTWERK' text. Both inserts remain near 'as new' & all text inside the gatefold is bright and sharp. The glue holding the pocket edges has turned the same brown that every other genuine copy displays. The labels are silver on black and the disc runs at 33RPM, making this technically an EP called Licht Und Blindheit, although it is often referred to as 'Sordide Sentimental', which was actually the label. The vinyl on this copy is extrordinary. As close to MINT condition as you are ever likely to find. The poly bag has the label logo on the front and shows general wear to the edges. A spectacular copy of this Joy Division 'Grail' release that you will not find in better condition. Tracklisting: Face A: Atmosphere 4:09 Face B: Dead Souls 4:53 Matrices (hand scratched): MPO SS33002A T_ MPO SS33002B T_ Both tracks produced by Martin Hannett ...
