A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

THE BEATLES Let It Be (Incredibly rare 1970 UK 12-track LP box set also including the 160-page softback photo book 'The Beatles Get Back', packed with colour/B&W photos & text from the film, which was never sold separately, all housed in a superblaminated outer Garrod & Lofthouse picture slipcase box with 'Patents Pending' lettering. This copy is complete with the rare 'These Fine Albums' Apple Catalogue poster PXS1)
See 'More Info' for further details on condition ...

Tracklisting: Condition The Box: As expected, the slipcase box has weakened a little over time, with some chipping to the laminate at the corners & light scuffing at the edges. This is not excessive & the outside of the box still stands proud & looks the part. There is further weakening to the inner parts of the box, some creasing and small tears where the book sits in the recess, but this is the norm for this design of box and copies that have not shown any age distressing are almost mythical and very rarely seen these days. By no means mint, this is still a nice acceptable example. LP: The picture sleeve shows just light creasing to the laminate in places and a little minor wear. As with all first issues, the Apple on the rear of the sleeve is red. There are no rips or tears, all text is clearly legible & the condition is excellent or above. The labels have just a few light spindle marks, whilst the vinyl remains very clean with just a couple of very light hairline marks. The Book: This is also laminated on the cover. There is just a little scuffing to the edges, but again, nothing unreasonable. By some miracle, this is one of the few surviving copies where the pages have not detached from the spine. This is a known manufacturing fault that caused the vast majority of these books to quickly self destruct. This copy is intact and shows no creasing to the cover or defacing inside. The Poster: This measures 9½" x 16½" and is folded as designed, neatly at appproximately 12" to fit into the box. The heading [and alternate name for this poster] is 'These fine albums are available now on APPLE. You should have them.' The design features the fifteen Apple album releases up to that point in full colour, with catalogue numbers beneath so that you could rush back to your local shop & order the rest. With the designed fold, the top half has nine designs & the bottom half has the other six. This is in superb condition, free from holes or wear, with just a tiny nick at the top. Very few copies came with this poster insert & very few posters have survived the intervening years or remained with the box. A treat. Overall this is a superb condition copy with almost pristine contents. The box, as with nearly all of the boxes, has suffered some distress along the way but is intact and complete. You would do well to find many complete copies in better condition than this one and the price reflects the imperfect nature of the box, even though this is the de facto norm. A very nice copy indeed at less than half the price of the almost mythical 'Mint' copy. Tracklisting: 01. Two Of Us 02. Dig A Pony 03. Across The Universe 04. I Me Mine 05. Dig It 06. Let It Be 07. Maggie Mae 08. I've Got A Feeling 09. One After 909 10. The Long And Winding Road 11. For You Blue 12. Get Back
THE BEATLES Please Please Me (1963 UK second press black label 7" single, with intact four prong centre, 'The Parlophone Co' in proper case and 'Recording First Published' label text, also featuring Ask Me Why, Parlophone company die cut papersleeve. The vinyl grades VG/VG+ with a few minor paper hairline scuffs to show play. A nice collection filler at an advantageous price R45-R4983)

Tracklisting: Please Please Me Ask Me Why
IRON MAIDEN Flight Of Icarus (1983 German only 'Super Sound Version' 12" vinyl single with great 'Street Lamp Eddie' colour picture labels, also including I've Got The Fire - unique as the UK version was only issued on a picture disc; stunningpicture sleeve of a winged Eddie shooting down Icarus with a flamethrower! Due to the thin paper stock used, the sleeve damages easily, however, astonishingly this copy displays very little signs of wear with a small split at the bottom, the vinyl has just a few cosmetic surface marks, overall an excellent example 1CK05207721Z)

Tracklisting: 1. Flight Of Icarus 3:50 2. I've Got The Fire 2:36
THE CURE Never Enough (Rare 1990 UK 3-track 12" single with 'CURE PROMO' etched in the run-offs, featuring the Big Mix & Harold & Joe & Let's Go To Bed [Milk Mix]. Note: the regular thumb cutaway is usually found as part of the back cover design along the top, but this rare mispressing has it featured on the front. The cover shows minimal wear & the vinyl is Excellent with light play only FICSX35)

Tracklisting: 1. Never Enough - Big Mix 2. Harold And Joe 3. Let's Go To Bed - Milk Mix
