Tracklisting: Waxwork Records is thrilled to release MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981) Original Motion Picture Score by Paul Zaza! Praised by directors Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth as one of their top favorite slasher movies of all time, MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981) tells the story of a small mining town and its residents that fall victim to a vengeful, homicidal maniac on Valentine’s Day. The film has garnered a cult following and has also sparked a major-studio remake in 2009.
By working directly with composer Paul Zaza (Prom Night, Curtains, Porky’s), Waxwork was allowed to work directly from the original master tapes to source the complete, haunting score.
The ominous and foreboding score by Paul Zaza is a mix of both minimal synth and orchestral compositions intertwined with bluegrass and country soundtrack cues. Expertly mixed and mastered from the original masters into a cohesive listening experience, the complete score clocks in at over one hour and spans two 150 Gram Blood Red and White Hand-Poured colored vinyl records!

 | THE BEATLES Please Please Me (1963 UK fifth press 14-track

laminated Ernest J. Day flipback picture sleeve PMC1202)
** See 'More Info' for further details on condition ...

06. Ask Me Why
07. Please Please Me
08. Love Me Do

11. Do You Want To Know A Secret
12. A Taste Of Honey
13. Theres A Place
14. Twist & Shout
The first two issues were on the black and gold design label and the first yellow & black issue lacked the 'Recording First Published' text & retained the small '33 1/3' after the matrix number of the first two pressings. The second yellow & black removed the small '33 1/3' print.
This is therefore technically the fifth issue, still from 1963 and still with matrix numbers ending -1.
The labels:
Black and Yellow Parlophone in design with 'The Parlophone Co Ltd' perimeter & 'Recording First Published' label text.
The Sleeve:
The Ernest J. Day front laminated flipback picture sleeve has the large block 'mono' logo on the front. The sleeve has unfortuantly suffered a small amount of tear to the flipbacks: one in the bottom right corner and one in the bottom left. Some light laminate creasing, edge scuffing and a name annotation with areas of discolouration to the reverse but again otherwise holds together well considering, all original text is bright and visible including the spine text which remains clear as day. Certainly a listening owner's copy but an acceptable example.
Vinyl:
The vinyl has obviously been played from the amount of spindlewear on both sides. Side 1 is Excellent showing only minor cosmetic wear but side 2 shows notable scuffing. Despite this, we have play tested this side and found the album didn't skip with minimal crackling. Even though the scuffs are deeper than usual hairlines, the 60's vinyl prevails and the album played through beautifully. The package is conservatively graded and there's no hiding from the blemishes mentioned but overall remains a copy on good order of this early fifth installation despite any shortcomings.
An iconic classic from the Fabs that should be in everyone's record collection.
By no means mint, this is a nice opportunity to pick up an early pressing at a fair price. |
