JUDAS JUMP Scorch (Very rare 1970 UK/US 13-track
Parlophone/Capitol Records acetate. The sole album by the short-lived
prog-rock supergroup featuring Andy Bown [The Herd, Status Quo],
Alan Jones [Amen Corner] and Henry Spinetti [The Herd]. Featuring a
printed 'Stereo' label with typewritten artist name and timing.
Produced by Andy Bown, it's a much-overlooked British Psych Rock
gem with nice use of Mellotron throughout. The disc is US
manufactured [with UK catalogue numbers] and cut for in-house use
and immediate playback, acetates were also used for mastering,
approval, and promotional purposes, making surviving examples
exceptionally rare and highly sought-after. Housed in a finished
laminated gatefold picture sleeve with a rare 'Audio Discs, Audio
Devices' yellow die cut inner. This superb item was obtained from a
former Judas Jump band member and has the distinction of
inaugurating Parlophone's new numbering sequence [it was the first
album to feature the one-box EMI/Parlophone label design!]. See
