The delicate sleeve is Very Good despite some corner creases & a few scuff marks around the back opening edge. The vinyl is clean & grades VG/VG+ with several light paper hairlines which have only light effect on play with no jumps or skips. ANNE BRIGGS Anne Briggs (Extremely Rare 1971 UK 10-track MONO vinyl LP from one of the leading lights of the sixties acoustic / folk boom, with accompaniment from Davey Graham, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Wizz Jones, Shelagh McDonald, Roy Harper, Ralph McTell and others. This was actually her second album, recorded for Bill Leader's Topic label a mere seven years after her first, because [as described in the sleeve notes] "Getting Anne Briggs into a recording studio is like enticing a wild bird into a cage". Hugely influential, and the provider of Blackwater Side to Bert Jansch as well as several songs and tunes for her contemporaries that she acquired on her almost constant travel across England and Ireland. ANNE BRIGGS The Time Has Come (Monster rare British Female Folk 1971 UK 13-track stereo LP, with sleeve notes provided by Anne herself, picture sleeve. For her second solo album Anne added some additional instrumentation [guitar and bouzouki],some original compositions [including one with Bert Jansch] alongside material from folk luminaries Lal Waterson, Steve Ashley, Stan Ellison and Henry McCulloch plus a handful of arrangements of traditional songs. The sleeve is graded VG+ with light foxing and a small scratch to the front, however it remains fully intact and free of any unsightly rips or tears. The vinyl grades as VG+/EX with just a small section of wear to the groove at the beginning of Side A resulting in distortion to the start of Sandman's Song, otherwise the rest of the album plays to an Excellent standard with minimal noise, leaving a fantastic example of this haunting minimalist masterpiece from the English acid-folk glory daze) more...
