Peter Blake travelled to Dublin to sketch Eric Clapton in rehearsal and in concert and this image is based on his work during this period.

This image served as the cover for the 24 Hours album and artwork produced by Sir Peter Blake with art and sketches that appear on the interior of the booklet. Blake is most famous for executing the cover of The Beatles’ “Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band”. He would also work with Eric on “24 Nights” a book from Genesis Publications detailing Eric’s record record-breaking run at the Royal Albert Hall.
