LEON RUSSELL Leon Russell & The Shelter People (1971 UK first press 11-track vinyl LP on the tan A&M label, a superb early '70s set from the legendary singer-songwriter, featuring contributions from his touring band The Shelter People, along with guest appearances from the likes of Eric Clapton, Chris Stainton & members of Joe Cocker’s Mad Dogs & Englishmen entourage. Includes standout tracks such as Stranger In A Strange Land, Crystal Closet Queen and a moving rendition of Dylan’sA Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall. Housed in a lightly textured picture sleeve complete with the original lyric insert. The sleeve shows some light corner creasing and minor shelfwear, whilst the vinyl remains in Excellent condition with only a few faint cosmetic paper scuffs not affecting play AMLS65003)
