THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION Cruising With Ruben & The Jets (1972 US issue of the 1968 13-track stereo LP on the blue & silver large 't' Verve label with second variant 'V6/5055X' label catalogue print, featuring 'greasy love songs' influenced byDoo-Wop & Rock & Roll of the fifties with a Zappa raised-eyebrow twist. Comes housed in a great Cal Schenkel gatefold sleeve depicting the Mothers as anthropomorphic dogs! The cover [VG+] shows some light edge scuffing & a few very minor papersplits & all text is clearly legible, with nice rich colours. The vinyl remains in Excellent condition with a deep sheen both sides & just the odd light paper hairline & spindle mark to show play V6-5055X)
