DR JOHN Gris-Gris (1968 UK first press 7-track stereo LP debut on the plum & red Atlantic label, signifying the birth of Dr John The Night Tripper, previously known as Mac Rebennack. The album delivers a wonderful fusion of voodoo mysticism, funk, rhythm & blues, psychedelic rock & Creole roots, including tunes that went on to serve as great cover material such as 'Gris-Gris Gumbo Ya Ya', 'Mama Roux' & 'I Walked On Gilded Splinters'. The picture sleeve is front laminated & has some light edge creases whilst the vinyl is clean & grades EXcellent with some spindle marks & the odd few paper hairline scuffs and mild cosmetic clouding not upsetting play)
