THE SMITHS The Queen Is Dead (How cool is this! An incredibly rare 1986 UK Rough Trade hand set preliminary artwork design concept for a Melody Maker advertisement/fly poster with the iconic Alain Delon cover star image, used to promote the forthcoming vinyl LP!! It's presented on high quality line board with hand annotated tracing paper overlay and frontleaf, measuring 20½" x 16". Also included are two 12" x 24" thin paper proofs of the advertisement, using a unique blue tint. All in superb condition - a truly one-of-a-kind Smiths collectable, this item has never been displayed or offered for sale..until now!)
