MILES DAVIS Chronicle: The Complete Prestige Recordings 1951–1956 (1988 Japanese limited edition 94-track eight CD box set featuring the digitally remastered original Mono recordings from the seventeen sessions that he recorded for the label,presented here complete for the first time. The discs are arranged as two fat jewel cases, with a forty eight page illustrated in depth booklet in English and a matching fifty two page booklet in Japanese, all house in an outer card box with wraparound obi-sticker. The crucible from which Miles crafted his extraordinary career, this collection also features long term staples like Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones, John Coltrane, Red Garland, Tommy Flanagan, Percy Heath & more, as well as contributions from Horace Silver, Charlie Parker, Jackie Mclean, Charles Mingus, Max Roach, Art Blakey and more.
