BRAIN LABEL Brain: The No. 1 German Rock Label (Rare 1976 German promotional white title label 10-track sampler LP, laminated gatefold 'not for sale' stamped picture sleeve. Whoah! Sourced from the private collection of a former Dutch EMI record executive this stunning compilation was intended to showcase the very best of cult Krautrock label Brain but, inexplicably, was never actually released - not sure why, as not only does it include material from the genre's 'big-hitters'; Neu, Guru Guru, Grobschnitt, Cluster, but with the inclusion of tracks by Hardcake Special, Novalis and Jane you get to hear some of the genre's lesser celebrated 'names'. The iconic 'Brain' logo sleeve shows very little trace of wear, whilst the vinyl is superb - and most probably remains unplayed - a must!)
