THE PURPLE GANG The Purple Gang Strikes! (1968 UK first issue 11-track LP by the ultra groovy band, featuring John Peel's record of the year at the time 'Granny Takes A Trip', front laminated picture sleeve. The sleeve shows a degree of shelfwear, as you might expect, with some discolouration to parts of the unlaminated back, but nothing too outrageous. The vinyl remains in VG/EX-condition but actually is better than you'd expect, with the first side remaining excellent & the second side, showing just a few surface scuffs, the main one being a line covering the first three tracks. While this does not affect play and the sonic effect is minimal, we have had to downgrade this copy as a consequence. A very playable copy of this hard to find album at an advantageous price TRA174)
