STRAVINSKY The Soldier's Tale (1989 Japanese CD featuring an adaptation of Stravinsky's masterpiece, which is a very grounded reworking of the Faust legend, featuring a fantastic cast, with Sting taking the role of the Soldier, while Vanessa Redgrave plays the Devil. The entire piece is narrated by Ian McKellen & set to music performed by the London Sinfonietta, conducted by Kent Nagano. Housed in a fat double case with front picture insert and back track details insert, plus a 40-page booklet 28DP-5175)
