This genre-bending, barrier-smashing album of boldly new music with dense textures and lengthy performances broke every rule of commerciality. This deluxe edition comprises 2CDs featuring the original 94-plus minutes of music, expanded with 6 Bonus Recordings including alternate takes & single edits of 'Spanish Key', 'John McLaughlin', 'Miles Runs The Voodoo Down', 'Great Expectations' & 'Little Blue Frog'; plus a Region 0 NTSC DVD containing a previously unreleased performance captured live in Copenhagen, November 1969, with Wayne Shorter, Corea, Holland & DeJohnette. Presented in a fold-out digipak picture sleeve [housed in a clear slipcase] complete with a 24-page picture booklet containing Greg Tate's original essay, sleevenotes from the set's Co-Producers Michael Cuscuna and Richard Seidel, along with dozens of photographs and rare record label memos)
