LOU REED Metal Machine Music (2010 UK limited edition 4-track 2-LP set pressed on 180gram VIRGIN VINYL - Lou Reed has gone back to the original analogue multi-tracks and digitally remastered his 1975 classic album 'Metal Machine Music',offering a stereo reproduction of the original quadraphonic master - the birth of industrial music? Just a load of noise? Avant garde experimentalism? Perhaps a little of all three, but imagine people's surprise and outrage upon hearing thisforthe first time over 30 years ago - each side lasts exactly 16 minutes and 4 seconds [except the final side which features a locked groove], adding up to over an hour of multitracked layers of guitar feedback, played back at varying speeds; almost hypnotic in its relentless intensity, dazzling in its concept! Superbly presented in deluxe gatefold pasted card sleeve. The sleeve shows minimal wear and the vinyl appears barely played SR002)
