This incredible LP was pretty much the star find on our most recent buying trip to Japan. We were lucky enough to be offered first refusal on an outstanding collection of late 60s and early 70s original vinyl; unbelievably nearly all the records were complete with their original obi strips, and everything was in near perfect condition.

Other highlights from the collection that shared box-space with this original Disraeli Gears included a Jimi Hendrix 'Axis' 1968 original with unique artwork, a stone mint copy of Blind Faith's 1969 record in the 'nude' sleeve complete with the obi, a near time-warp copy of the original Who's Next Japanese Polydor release, again with obi, not to mention the complete pair of Wheels Of Fire silver & gold sleeve LPs, also with their incredibly scarce obi strips.

Regular collectors of Japanese originals will already know that in the case of classic 60s vinyl the inclusion of the obi-strip can often represent more than 50% of the value. It's fair to say that the obis are generally much harder to find than the records, so when an opportunity arises to buy the LP, complete with obi and in MINT codition, it's foolish not to do everything possible to make the deal. Records of such rarity are not getting any easier to find!

Indeed, you could wait a lifetime to find another copy of this classic album in such wonderful condition. Outside of Japanese reference books this is the first time we've actually seen 'in the flesh' this LP complete with the obi. The word 'rare' seems quite inadequate when applied to this particular pressing.

"Speechless" would be more appropriate...!
