PETER GREEN SPLINTER GROUP Me & The Devil (2008 issue UK 3-CD set - the 29 songs that Robert Johnson recorded in various Texas hotel rooms in 1936/37 are amongst the most significant & influential works in blues music, so it was appropriate thatit was these landmark songs that Green turned to when recording the 2 LPs which re-launched his career [1998's 'The Robert Johnson Songbook' & 2000's 'Hot Foot Powder']; the first 2 CDs of this set comprise Green's versions of all Johnson'ssongs while the 3rd contains Johnson's own recordings of the songs which made him a legend, sealed clamshell box)
