BACKGROUND

If ever there was a 'Wild Man Of Rock' then Keith Moon surely takes top spot and this item is a piece of Rock history, You actually have the opportunity to purchase an item used and loved by Keith.
Due to the immense size and weight of the item it has to be collected by prior arrangement in person from our offices in Kent.

ITEM DETAILS

This is a large, reworked/resold, brass cash register manufactured by the National Till Company, circa 1915, Empire case style, model number 422-E, serial number S6232104. Significant features are the double set of large round buttons and the Customer Counter. The top sign-plate is missing along with the marble plate and glass above the drawer. The till has been converted to electrical operation but is not sold in confirmed working order. Keith bought this till from a local antique shop in the 1960's in Chertsey, England.
The glass tray was allegedly broken due to a bottle of Brandy that was thrown by Oliver Reed but he was too drunk to catch it.

The trays, money cover and handle need replacing, however the item has been cleaned and has been working in the past few years, though this cannot be confirmed.

Keith purchased this superb item as the centrepiece for his bar room. How many debauched scenes must this item have seen with many a wild party and drinking nights held with rock stars and film stars such as Oliver Reed.

If you have a spare room that is just begging to be converted into a 'Boys Bar Room' then this is the prefect item to complete it.

Originally purchased though Fleetwood Owen Auctions in 2001 [when it was authenticated by Keith's personal assistant Peter Butler] and comes complete with an extract copy from the catalogue.

Also comes complete with a picture depicting Keith with this cash register.
