VARIOUS No New York (2006 Russian pressed limited edition 16-track vinyl PICTURE DISC LP, originally released in 1978, this groundbreaking album [produced by Brian Eno] sought to represent the best of New York's 'No Wave' scene - as the initial energy of punk dissipated, many musicians spiralled off into previously uncharted territory, utilising jazz and avant-garde influences, often creating a maelstrom of sound, with little emphasis onorthodox song structure or melody!
