ALEXANDER 'SKIP' SPENCE Oar (1999 US 22-track CD album, originally released in May 1969, recorded after Spence had spent 6 months in Bellevue Hospital, suffering from schizophrenia [he had allegedly attacked fellow Moby Grape members during sessions for their 2nd album], this is a visionary solo work, frequently compared to the likes of Syd Barrett and Nick Drake, walking the tightrope between reality and delusion, fully deserving its legendary status, includes 10 BONUSTRACKS including 5 previously unreleased recordings, sealed picture sleeve plus booklet with unpublished photos!)
