Tracklisting & More Information

One of the most exciting rock bands in history, The Who took the music scene by storm in the 1960s. While Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend and Keith Moon stole the spotlight with their on-stage antics, John Entwistle (affectionately known as The Ox) stood quietly in the shadows poised to become the biggest bass player in the history of rock'n'roll.
In 2002, after years of touring with his solo project, Entwistle could not resist the lure of bringing back one of the greatest rock bands. Tragically, plans for The Who's reunion tour were cut short when John was found dead in his hotel room on the eve of the first show. An Ox's Tale takes a rare look at this passionate and talented musician.
Narrated by Peter Frampton, 'John Entwistle : An Ox's Tale' covers the life story of John Entwistle from his first public performance at the age of 14 to the time when Guitar Magazine dubbed him 'Bassist of the Millennium'. The film contains the last footage and interviews ever shot with Entwistle, offering the fans a unique chance to discover the real life of the music legend.
Special features include John Entwistle home movies, the John Entwistle Band Live in Detroit (1999) and the exclusive interview 'The Last Time I Saw Dad' by Chris Entwistle.
