FRANK ZAPPA Finer Moments (2012 UK 13-track double album 2-LP, remastered by Chris Bellman from that original analogue master at Bernie Grundman mastering and pressed on 180-gram Heavyweight Vinyl - Technically a kind of 'Weasels' VolII, this collection contains studio & live performances from 1967 to 1972, that actually build & flow in a much more satisfying way as four sides of vinyl, exactly as Frank first intended them to be. Containing two mammoth live performances, the eighteen minute 'Uncle Rhebus' from The Ark in 1969 and the nineteen minute 'The Subcutaneous Peril' from Carnegie Hall in 1971, this is not a 'Zappa by numbers' greatest hits re-hash but a superb slice of the more involved & improvisational side of the composer's canon. The deluxe gatefold picture sleeve comes with illustrated inserts and the two vinyl discs look barely played)
